Hollybank Farm, our small, family-run business, is based in the picturesque Cumbrian area of Penrith. Alongside our farm produce, we also support a range of event catering and outdoor catering services across Cumbria. We pride ourselves on producing a wide variety of delectable farm foods.
We have free-range rare-breed pigs, pedigree Hereford cattle, and a flock of commercial sheep. We aim to produce high-quality, high-welfare meat while giving our animals the best possible life, which is why our hog roasts for events are known for their exceptional taste.
We aim to produce high-quality meat that is affordable to everybody. Our pigs are reared outdoors on a fell and are involved in a conservation scheme to clear the bracken and help the heather return and grow.
We have a mix of pig breeds, all originating from Tamworth pigs. Over the years, we have bred our pigs with various breeds, including Saddleback, British Lop, Duroc, Gloucester Old Spot and Pietrain.
We now believe we have found the perfect mix of flavour and fat-to-meat ratio. This ensures our hog roasts and barbecue catering for events remain full of flavour and never dry during cooking, making them ideal for outdoor catering across Cumbria.
